Ribble Pro Cycling are delighted to announce the first rider to join the restructured junior strand of the team ahead of the 2019 season. Oli Stockwell makes the transition from youth to junior following on from a hugely successful 2018 season. Oli was crowned British National U16 Champion, and also won the National Series for U16 riders, this included GC victory and Stage 3 in the IOM Youth Tour, the North West Youth Tour GC and Stage 3 and also the final round of the series at Brands Hatch. In addition to his road successes, Oli also won the Junior National 25, despite being a youth, and has also had notable success on the track and in cyclo-cross.

Oli said on his decision “I’m very excited to be riding for Ribble Pro Cycling for the 2019 season. I think they will provide many great opportunities and help me progress to the next level”

Jack Rees, Team Owner, added “Oli has had an unbelievable season, but it’s not just his success on the bike that brought him to the team's attention, he is articulate and conducts himself really well off the bike. It’s pivotal to me that young, developing riders take ownership of their own racing and development and it’s clear Oli does that. He is a multi-disciplined rider and I feel that we will be able to continue to support his progression as an athlete throughout 2019 and beyond. I think it's important to comment on the fantastic coaching and support Oli has received through his current club Welwyn Wheelers and also via British Cycling and thank Welwyn for their support of Oli’s decision to join our team.”

Ribble Pro Cycling have continued to develop year on year and built a sustainable platform for success and progression. The team continue to put their final preparations together ahead of next season ahead of a successful 2018 campaign that included over 100 race victories and multi-discipline success at all levels.
