Kevin McCambridge to join Ribble Pro Cycling for 2020. Kevin is in his final year as a junior and has had a consistently strong season culminating in his recent selection to represent Ireland at the Road World Championships in Harrogate. Kevin is current Irish Junior Time Trial Champion, finished 2nd in the GC at the Junior Tour of Ireland, 3rd in the GC at the Tour of the North alongside countless domestic podiums.

Kevin said on his decision to join the team; “I am really excited to be riding with Ribble Pro Cycling for the 2020 season. I am looking forward to taking the step to Continental level and seeing where it can take me. I have had a good year this year with results, but in 2020 I plan to take on more. I will be joined with very strong riders of all different abilities and looking forward to racing and training with them. I will be based in the Sierra Nevada in the winter to prepare myself for the 2020 season. Ribble have an excellent calendar and I am super excited to be taking part in some of the big races! As my first year U23 I feel this is a great opportunity to get some big results, I will also learn a lot from the bigger races and the more experienced riders within the team.”

Ribble Pro Cycling added; “Kevin has had an outstanding season as his final one as a junior. He has shown a real aptitude for hilly, attritional races but is still able to ride time trials at a high level. We believe he will be a perfect fit for the team, and will be a key asset in the hillier races that form our program. We are sure we will be able to facilitate an effective transition into the senior ranks, provide a wealth of varied race opportunities and contribute heavily to his continual development both as a bike rider and as a person.”

Kevin joins the team from 1st January but he will meet up with his team mates and staff at the teams annual December training camp and meet.

Ribble Pro Cycling have continued to develop year on year and built a sustainable platform for success and progression. The team is competing at a UCI continental level in 2019 and beyond. The team are coming off the back of fantastic UCI victories at the GP Marbiers and Bourne Cicle Festival.
