Ribble Pro Cycling are delighted to announce the addition of Jacob Tipper for 2019. Jacob was part of the team in 2017 in which he rode to a UCI 1.2 podium and his maiden National title in the individual pursuit alongside Dan Bigham, Charlie Tanfield and Jonny Wale. Since then Jacob has gone from strength to strength. Racing for UCI Asia Continental team Memil CCN Pro Cycling, 2018 was his most successful season to date and included stage victories in the UCI 2.2 Tour de Maroc (Stage 4) and the 2.HC Tour of Qinghai Lake (Stage 11).
Jacob, “I am looking forward to a new and exciting chapter with Ribble Pro Cycling, as they look to step up to the UCI ranks. After some fantastic opportunities with Memil CCN Pro Cycling in 2018 I am hoping a little more balance and a predominantly European program will help me take the step up I need to better my 2018 results. Hopefully I can also share my experience with the UK’s freshest UCI outfit.”
Jack Rees, Team Owner, added “I am delighted to add Jacob to the team for 2019, he is a proven winner and with the calendar and opportunities we are going to be able to provide, I am confident he will be able to build on the professional victories he achieved in 2019. He returns to a familiar group, surrounded by friends and I am confident this environment will elicit the best from him. I wanted to take this opportunity also to thank our friends at Memil CCN for their support of Jacob both through 2018 and in his decision to make this change.”
